Wow! Today was a very eventful day! So this morning I was walking my favorite dog, Bentley, when he grabbed something in his mouth that must have blown out of the trash this morning. I couldn't get it out, and I was starting to panic. It looked as hard as a rock, so I was pretty sure that he wouldn't be able to chew and swallow. Then I saw my brother coming down the road, and I called for him to come help. He jerked the leash up to make the dog spit it out, trying several times, because that is what the Obedience school had said to do. But Bentley would not drop it. Bentley is a labradoodle dog, which means they can get mean when they have something they don't want to give up. But Bentley was always really nice and sweet to me and my family, but today, he was growling as he held it in his mouth. Finally, I went to my sister and asked for help. she tried too, but it didn't do anything, so she called the owner. We didn't want to give him a treat to make him drop it, because that would be rewarding him. So My sister brought him into his house, and thank God, he dropped it. It turned out to be a meat bone, with a little bit of meat. I would like to thank God for that, because I had prayed he would be okay and not choke. The next eventful thing, was that I was at my computer two hours ago when I suddenly saw something out of the corner of my eye. Alarmed, I turned around, afraid it was a big german shepherd or coyote(there have been sightings of coyotes and a german shepherd who tried to eat a dog lately). But I was wrong. It was a brownish grey, female dear! I was so suprised I gasped and yelped, giving a call for my mom and then covering my mouth, afraid it would hear me. But it didn't. My mom and brother came running over, and we both examined it, watching it's every move. It must have gotten hungry though, because it walked to the backyard and started eating the neighbor's grass. Then, another one came from the direction of the road! We were all so suprised! But when one of the labrador dogs, Cooper, started barking, the deers ran into the woods, lying down. This reminded me of a time about three years ago when we saw a mother and two baby deers walking across our back yard. The babies had still had their spots! And I can only think, were those two deers the two babies we had seen about three years back? And if they were, God really does take care of our animals. God bless y'all!
